The Malta Freeport was established in 1988 and ever since then it has evolved into a major maritime transshipment logistic hub in the Mediterranean. Thanks to regular liner services and an extensive feedering network, it is capable of offering regular network connections to around 100 ports worldwide, making it the ideal stopover point for goods on their way into or out of the EU. The Malta Freeport is also advantageous for anyone shipping goods from one non-EU country to another.

Salvo Grima Group was the first company to take up an industrial warehouse within the Warehousing Distripark of the Malta Freeport in 1992. Over the years we have used the warehouse as a logistical hub, offering companies who are engaged in international trade, a variety of services. Since Malta became a member of the European Union in 2004 the warehouse can now also be used as a gateway into the EU for any companies wanting to sell their products in this vast market.
