We are currently looking for a motivated and ambitious Commercial Executive to join us and support our sales and marketing efforts for our distribution team in Libya. This position is based in Malta, reporting to commercial management in charge of the Libya market, and requires occasional travelling to Libya.

The duties include:

  • Assisting the Commercial Manager with day-to-day commercial and marketing activities.
  • Using and updating sales transactions, systems and reports while providing clear accurate updates.
  • Assisting and supporting interactions with key stakeholders including main suppliers and customers.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Preparing reports and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Contributing and implementing creative marketing ideas across various markets, focusing on Libya.
  • Monitoring market dynamics affecting brand performance and taking necessary actions.
  • Analysing market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitors to identify growth opportunities.
  • Supporting the Distribution Team in expanding the business in Libya and neighbouring markets.
  • Travelling as necessary to oversee operations and fulfil responsibilities.
  • Performing additional duties as required, with flexibility to adapt to business needs.

The ideal candidate would be:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a sales, marketing, or commercial role, preferably in the FMCG or distribution industry.
  • Experience working in international markets, particularly in Africa or similar regions, is an asset.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data, trends, and competitor activities.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in generating and implementing marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in using productivity software such as ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
