International Business & Retail Unit – Part of a Salvo Grima’s diversified group of companies distributing internationally renowned brands within the FMCG industry, also operating a line of travel retail shops.

We are seeking an analytical Commercial Manager to join our International Business & Retail unit. We are looking for a high-energy, fearless dealmaker who thrives on breaking into new markets, closing tough deals, and driving aggressive yet sustainable business expansion. If you’re a relentless sales hunter who can create opportunities where others see obstacles, this role is for you.

The duties include:

  • Establishing and maintaining strong positive relationships with clients and new
  • Being responsible for the full sales cycle – from the first contact with a client to receiving the
  • Ensuring that all sale proposals and agreements are processed in a timely and effective
  • Conducting research on new markets and products and using it to generate action plans and pursue
  • Expanding the company’s portfolio and testing out new business ideas and
  • Hunting down new business opportunities, breaking into untapped markets, and relentlessly pursuing high-value clients through strategic, high-impact sales efforts.
  • Achieve annual sales targets by ensuring customer orders are placed and shipped on time.
  • Joint preparation and agreement of annual business plans with customers to deliver sustainable business growth.
  • Update forecasts periodically based on market performance and adjust plans to achieve results.
  • Continuously optimise pricing structures relative to changes in competitive positioning.
  • Prepare, monitor, and execute advertising and promotions plans within approved budget.
  • Prepare and follow through on channel and category plans to effectively defend and grow revenue.

The ideal candidate:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field;
  • Detailed-oriented, whilst also keeping the bigger picture in
  • Able to work individually and take ownership, as well as part of a
  • A fierce, self-driven closer. You’re resilient, resourceful, and relentless in pursuing high-value deals and turning them into long-term wins.
  • Smart, confident, and proactive in dealing with business clients, both in-person and via phone, email
  • Able to work and adapt within a fast-paced, ever-changing, international
  • Analytical and commercially minded, with an ability to close
