We are in the process of setting up two new retail outlets within La Goulette Ferry Terminal in Tunisia. To manage and oversee the operation, we are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as the General Manager (La Goulette).
The duties include:
- Retail Management
- Train and onboard new staff on our operational procedures and the ERP system;
- Reporting accurately and clearly on activities undertaken;
- Ensuring that the shops are merchandised according to industry standards and guidelines;
- Implementing in-store promotions and reporting results;
- ERP System Management
- Efficient and accurate use of ERP and POS system;
- Ensure seamless integration of the ERP system with other operational tools;
- Troubleshoot and resolve any ERP/POS-related issues in collaboration with IT support;
- Customs
- Accurate reporting for customs purposes;
- Manage the relationship with customs officials, ensuring compliance with set procedures;
- Preparing and issuing documentation and reports through internal IT system;
- Operational Efficiency
- Be the representative for the Company in Tunisia;
- Day-to-day running of the Company’s travel retail outlets at La Goulette Ferry Terminal;
- Monitor stock levels and initiate restocking processes when necessary;
- Ensuring the proper handling of the Company cash/ePoint Of Sale receipts;
- Co-ordinate receiving and checking of stock from suppliers;
- Co-ordinate orders and replenishments with suppliers;
- Work closely with sales representatives and other supporting roles to ensure a seamless customer experience;
- Implement and oversee operational procedures to enhance efficiency and minimize errors;
The ideal candidate would be:
- Proficiency in using ERP systems; experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail or duty-free industry.
- Fluency in English is essential. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong project management, budget management, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in leading a team independently.
