We are now looking for a motivated and ambitious Business Development Executive (Remote) to join our team and support our sales and marketing efforts in the Middle East and Africa.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment, while contributing to our continued growth in the region. Location: Fully Remote – open to candidates outside Malta with strong access to Levant (Middle East) and African markets.

The duties include:

  • Assisting the Company’s commercial team in identifying, researching, planning and implementing new business initiatives, in the Middle East and Africa, with particular attention to Levant region and East Africa.
  • Building and sustaining customer relationships;
  • Carrying out market research and analysing relevant business data to assist decision-making in distribution and sales. This could include the preparation of business plans, tenders or budget proposals;
  • Identifying new opportunities for product development, new market segments or clients and promoting company products or services overseas;
  • Following up on client leads and business opportunities, carrying out KYC research and keeping records up to date;
  • Carrying out ongoing research on market trends, competitor performance, supply chains, international relations and current affairs in our target regions;
  • Assisting with investment and financial decisions to benefit the company. – Identifying gaps in products and service in market offerings and proposing means in which these could be satisfied;
  • Monitoring and keeping track of regulations and business development incentives, laws or programmes both in Malta and other countries of operation;
  • Reporting accurately and clearly on activities undertaken;
  • Traveling as necessary at Company cost in order to ensure the above.
  • Carrying out any other task which may be reasonably required in this position.

The ideal candidate would be:

Education & Experience

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field (or equivalent experience);
  • Proven experience working in an FMCG or distribution environment particularly in setting up new businesses in emerging markets;
  • Proven experience working in the target markets of Levant and West Africa.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation;
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple routine tasks;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM or sales systems is a plus;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and follow structured processes.
