Building on last year’s success, the Heartbeat Drive continues to bring like minded companies together to support blood donation, strengthen community ties and make a meaningful difference.
Salvo Grima Group is proud to have spearheaded this year’s Heartbeat Drive Initiative, uniting with local organisations in Malta to support a life-saving cause, saving more than 270 lives through this month’s blood drive, an annual initiative which is now in its second year.
During this initiative, over 90 staff members and directors from 9 Groups of Companies donated valuable pints of blood, each of which has the potential to save at least three lives.
The Heartbeat Drive was held at Marsa Industrial Estate, Malta, in collaboration with the Malta National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS). Now in its second year, this collaboration continues to demonstrate the positive impact that can be achieved when organisations come together for a common purpose.
The Heartbeat Drive 2026 was coordinated by Salvo Grima Group in collaboration with fellow sponsors and co-organisers with neighbouring companies AMSM – Alf Mizzi & Sons Marketing Group, Hili Ventures, BNF Bank, M&Z plc, Vivian Corporation, A.M. Mangion Group and MMGH Ltd, as well as Burmarrad Group also joining as a participating company.
While blood donation remains at the heart of the initiative, the Heartbeat Drive represents something equally meaningful: the power of collaboration within the business community.
Looking Ahead: Bigger, Better and Stronger in 2027
As we conclude this year’s Heartbeat Drive, one thing is certain: this is only the beginning.
Our ambition for 2027 is clear: to make the Heartbeat Drive bigger, better and more impactful by welcoming even more companies, reaching more potential donors and strengthening the collaborative spirit that defines the initiative.
We want to continue building relationships with like-minded organisations that share our belief that businesses can, and should, play an active role in making a difference.
To companies across Malta that would like to be part of something meaningful, we extend an open invitation to join us for the Heartbeat Drive 2027.
Whether through encouraging employee participation, supporting the initiative or simply helping spread awareness, every company has the potential to contribute and thus support the invaluable work of the National Blood Transfusion Service.
Because the true strength of the Heartbeat Drive lies not only in the number of donations collected, but in the community of people and businesses coming together to make them possible.
Different groups of companies. One heartbeat. One mission.
