Due to our continuous growth, we are looking for a full-time Business Analyst to join our Technology team based in Nairobi, Kenya.
The ideal candidate is a team player who will be responsible, in analysing the organisation and document its business processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology mainly with in our current ERP system. You would be expected to design business processes, working with stakeholders within the organisation to identify and define the needs and objectives of the business, and then help to create solutions to meet those needs.

The duties include:

  • Supporting the Group through the upgrade and implementation of its new enterprise resource planning application (“ERP”);
  • Analyzing existing business processes and identifying how these can be optimized and improved within the new ERP;
  • Participating in user acceptance testing and giving feedback to the solution vendors;
  • Acting as a business owner for the ERP and advocating for its use throughout the business to improve the overall operating efficiency and effectiveness of the Group;
  • Being a catalyst for change within the group by analyzing business processes used in day-to-day ERP operations and reporting and proposing improvements where relevant;
  • Supporting the business in the development of reports and dashboards from the ERP and other relevant data sources;
  • Liaising with Group senior management to fully understand data content and identify useful indicators or analysis tools to guide commercial decisions and monitor performance;
  • Gathering, understanding, and documenting detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques;
  • Analyzing and interpreting complex data sets relating to the Group’s business performance, producing and tracking key performance indicators;
  • Creating dashboards, graphs and visualizations;
  • Preparing and delivering clear presentations and reports for senior management;
  • Liaising with and coordinating various IT service providers and subcontractors;
  • Providing input and advice relating to project management, bids and business plans prepared by the Group;
  • Keeping oneself knowledgeable to new-generation technologies, disruptive technologies, and agile methodologies available in the industry;
  • Provide first and second level support to end users;
  • Delivering systems training to end users;
  • Support software quality and security audit process;
  • Reporting accurately and clearly on activities undertaken;
  • Carrying out any other task which may be reasonably required in this position.

The ideal candidate would be:

  • A degree in ICT or related field is preferred;
  • Excellent communicator to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including technical and non-technical team members;
  • Good problem-solver, who will be able to identify problems and develop creative solutions to address them;
  • An analytical thinker who will analyse data and information to understand the business and identify opportunities for improvement.
