SALVO GRIMA GROUP

Alison has been a humble member of Salvo Grima Group for more than two decades, who started as a clerk in the ship supply department, trained & gained more experience, and eventually rose to her current position as Finance Manager.

As well as delegating tasks to her team members, she is also involved in projects in the tobacco sector and travel retail. Her main responsibilities are in the Salvo Grima Distributors in Malta, Cyprus and Africa, as well as overseeing No. 12 in (Malta/Spain)

Before joining Salvo Grima, she worked for small local companies in the optical industry. She is trilingual and speaks Maltese, English, and Italian, and is a qualified and warranted Accountant.

Having been in the Group for two decades, and many more years to come, she has witnessed the growth of the company and appreciates how her colleagues, from the bottom of the hierarchy up to senior management, treat each other with respect.

Among her many contributions to the Group, Alison’s crowning achievement lies in her growth, from an entry role to a managerial position within different facets of the Group.

One of her many significant achievements was the previously confidential GOLF project, where she was the representative from Salvo Grima who participated from the bidding, development, and to its initial operations. This project is now known as BAT (British American Tobacco) Distribution. She also worked on the Singular and Airmode Retail shops. Since then, she has continuously made immense contributions to new projects.

Apart from her successful professional career, she is a dear mum to her 5-year-old daughter, and a loving wife to her husband. When she has extra time outside work, she is passionate about cooking, and has recently ventured into her hobby of baking animated cakes.

2003: Alison joined Salvo Grima as a clerk with the Ship Supply team.

2014: Obtaining her ACCA Member certificate, Alison keeps thriving in both her personal and professional journey.

2016: With her dedication to any projects assigned to her, Alison stepped up the career ladder and got promoted as Finance Manager, as well obtained her Professional Certification in Taxation.

2022: Together with the team, Alison got heavily involved in the acquisition and development of the exclusive Unilever project in Salvo Grima Rwanda.

2024: From one success to another, the Group won the bid of the La Goulette Terminal in Tunisia, with Alison spearheading the finance sector.
