New Corporate Premises for Salvo Grima in Rwanda
Salvo Grima Group Rwanda marked the end of a successful CHOGM 2022 week with a cocktail reception at our new corporate offices at the iconic I&M Building in Kigali’s business district on 26th June.
We were honoured to welcome his Excellency nicola bellomo, Ambassador of the European Union to Rwanda and his Excellency Ronald (Ronnie) Micallef, Ambassador of Malta to the African Union to our event. The reception was also attended by stakeholders and business leaders, including Mr. Zephanie Niyonkuru, the Deputy CEO of the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and Anton Buttigieg, CEO of TradeMalta.
During the event, the Group’s CEO Karl Aquilina showcased the new corporate office and gave a brief overview of its operational history in Rwanda. He also announced the establishment of Salvo Grima Africa Distribution Ltd, a registered investor with the RDB that will serve as the continental headquarters for the Group’s activities in Africa.
The event concluded with a cocktail reception at the rooftop terrace at the I&M Building, with its fantastic views of the Kigali skyline.
Salvo Grima Rwanda, established in 2020, is part of the Salvo Grima Group of Companies which specialises in the distribution of consumer goods to markets in Africa on behalf of leading global brands. Salvo Grima Rwanda is the official national distributor for BAT, Danone, Essity, Mars Wrigley and Unilever.
The company will be employing 80 individuals by the end of this year and has a network of 8 depots and over 30 distribution vehicles in Rwanda. Globally, the Group operates in 7 countries and employs over 200 individuals.
