Unilever Appoints Salvo Grima Group as National Distributor for Rwanda

Unilever, a world leader in the consumer goods sector, has appointed Salvo Grima Group as its national distributor in Rwanda. Nation-wide distribution operations will be officially launched by the Group on 15th July 2022.
Salvo Grima Group is therefore expanding its operations in Rwanda to employ 80 local employees, invest in over 30 distribution vehicles and operate 17 regional depots, nine of which are shared with a local logistics partner. This will substantially increase the Group’s distribution networks and allow it to supply clients consistently across the entire country.
Unilever brands are household names in personal care, home care and nutrition and include iconic brands such as Vaseline, Sunlight, Omo, Dove, Lifebuoy, Royco, Knorr and Wall’s. Established over 100 years ago, Unilever is headquartered in London, employs 140,000 people, and is present in over 190 countries.
Salvo Grima Rwanda, established in 2020, is part of the Malta-owned Salvo Grima Group of Companies which specialises in the distribution of consumer goods to markets in Africa on behalf of leading global brands. Salvo Grima Rwanda is the official national distributor for BATDanoneEssityMars Wrigley and Unilever. Globally, Salvo Grima Group operates in 7 countries and employs over 200 individuals.
